Can’t Wait to Learn formalises handover of its Ukraine learning platform to Ukraine government
Country: Ukraine Source: War Child UK Can’t Wait to Learn has formally completed the handover of Can’t Wait to Learn Ukraine to the Government of Ukraine, marking the platform’s transition from an emergency-response initiative to a fully government-owned, sustainable component of the country’s national education infrastructure. Developed in close partnership with the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and Ukrainian civil society organisation Osvitoria, Can’t Wait to Learn Ukraine was co-created during the first year of the conflict to support foundational literacy and numeracy for children in Grades 1–4. The platform is now embedded within the All-Ukrainian School Online and administered by national education institutions. From the outset, the platform was designed not as an imported solution, but as a national public good . Ukrainian teachers, curriculum experts, artists, and education officials worked alongside the Can’t Wait to Learn team to ensure full alignment with the national curriculum, cultural relevance, and long-term institutional viability. Since its launch, more than 250,000 children across Ukraine have learned through the platform. “The goal was never simply to deliver an EdTech tool during a crisis.
