Cavite City sizzles at 48°C, highest heat index in Calabarzon

LUCENA CITY — Amid sweltering conditions, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported that Cavite City recorded a heat index of 48°C on Thursday. In its 5 p.m. bulletin issued Thursday, Pagasa said Sangley Point in Cavite City registered that heat index, exceeding the earlier forecast of 46°C.
