Pakistan: Afghan Response Community Needs Identification (CNI) - Round 3 (August 2023 – March 2025)
Countries: Pakistan, Afghanistan Source: International Organization for Migration Please refer to the attached file. The International Organization for Migration’s (IOM) Community Needs Identification (CNI) collects detailed data on the living conditions and needs of Afghan nationals. The information gathered through the CNI is used to guide operational responses by identifying severity in needs and gaps in assistance, facilitating decision-making for programmes aiming to assist Afghan nationals and vulnerable host communities in Pakistan. Data is collected at the settlement level through group interviews with key informants (KIs), usually between 4 and 8 people, supported by direct observations. This report provides an overview of the evolving needs and living conditions of Afghan nationals in Pakistan and their host communities, based on data collected in three data collection rounds in 2023, 2024 and 2024/2025, respectively. Rather than focusing solely on the latest findings from round 3, the report highlights trends and consistent needs, challenges, and living conditions observed across all three rounds of data collection. By illustrating how needs, challenges, and living conditions have changed, or remained constant over time, the report aims to support stakeholders in prioritizing interventions, shaping programmes, and guiding advocacy efforts.
