Cambodia’s long-term climate strategy commits the country to running 40 percent of its urban buses on electricity by 2050. The fleet that has to make that transition currently numbers about 235 vehicles, all diesel, all gifted to Phnom Penh by the governments of China and Japan over the past decade.
