Vietnamese EV manufacturer VinFast mulls building Bataan plant

MANILA, Philippines — Vietnamese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer VinFast Electric Vehicle Philippines Corp. is exploring the possibility of setting up a manufacturing facility in Bataan as demand for electrified vehicles in the Philippines continues to grow. In a statement on Thursday, the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) said it had brought VinFast, alongside its charging infrastructure arm V-Green Global Charging Station Development Corp., to the 200-hectare Morong Discovery Park.
