SUBIC, Zambales — Twenty-three fishermen were rescued after their fishing vessel suffered an engine failure in the waters off this province, the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) reported on Thursday. The crew, led by 36-year-old boat captain Erwin Morate, departed their homeport in Barangay Wawandue here aboard the FBCA Wilyn early in the morning on Tuesday.
