DENR tells public to keep off Benguet crash site

BAGUIO CITY — The Department of Environment and Natural Resources–Cordillera Administrative Region (DENR-CAR) on Thursday urged the public to stay away from the site of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) SF-260 trainer aircraft crash in Sitio Cabuyao, Poblacion, Tuba, Benguet, citing safety risks and the need to protect the environmentally sensitive area where the incident occurred. The crash site lies within the Mount Santo Tomas Forest Reserve and the Marcos Highway Watershed Forest Reserve, both protected areas that authorities said could be vulnerable to ecological damage following the impact.
