BARMM under state of calamity amid oil crisis, El Niño
COTABATO CITY – Interim Chief Minister Abdulraof Macacua has declared a state of calamity across the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) due to the combined impact of the global oil crisis and the dry spell. Through Proclamation No. 002, Macacua declared a state of calamity across the entire BARMM in response to worsening socioeconomic conditions brought about by rising fuel prices and prolonged dry spells linked to the El Niño phenomenon.
