MANILA, Philippines — The heat index peaked at 47ºC on Wednesday, May 13, specifically in Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur and Butuan City, Agusan del Norte, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
