MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines is looking into the possibility of forging a free trade agreement (FTA) with Paraguay, as it moves to deepen its economic ties with South America while pursuing several major trade deals this year. Trade Secretary Cristina Roque said on Wednesday that Paraguayan President Santiago Peña floated the idea of an FTA during his three-day visit to the Philippines earlier this May.
