DA: 5 fertilizer firms face suspension over alleged violations
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Agriculture (DA) on Wednesday said five fertilizer firms were slapped with suspension and preventive suspension orders over alleged violations of fertilizer laws and regulatory policies. According to the DA in a statement, the sanctions—issued specifically by the Fertilizer and Pesticide Authority (FPA)—stemmed from separate investigations, monitoring operations, and compliance checks involving fertilizer manufacturers, distributors, and product registrants.
