MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police (PNP) is now on full alert level status after several gunshots were heard at the Senate on Wednesday night. “Based on reports from personnel on the ground, security monitoring and police presence in the vicinity of the Senate premises were intensified this evening following a reported incident currently subject to verification,” the PNP said in a statement. “As part of standard security protocols and public safety measures, alert status was raised to FULL ALERT STATUS effective 8:30 p.m., May 13, 2026.
