Smoking increasingly tied to poverty in PH — data

MANILA, Philippines — For decades, smoking in popular culture carried an image of sophistication, a habit associated with power, wealth or urban cool. In the Philippines, however, data increasingly point to a different reality: Smoking exposure is becoming more concentrated among poorer households.
