CIDG recommends raps vs Aplasca, 2 others over Senate shooting

MANILA, Philippines — The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) has recommended the filing of charges against suspended Senate Sergeant-at-Arms Mao Aplasca and two of his personnel over the shooting that created chaos inside the Senate last week. In a press briefing at Camp Crame on Wednesday, CIDG director Maj. Gen. Robert Alexander Morico II maintained that Aplasca and two other Senate security personnel had no basis to use their firearms under Republic Act No. 11917 or the Private Security Services Industry Act.
