Awra Briguela seeks action against professor over online remark

CEBU CITY, Philippines — Actress-student Awra Briguela seeks university action after a professor in Manila allegedly made a discriminatory remark against her in a public online post. Together with the Manila Youth Development and Welfare Bureau, Briguela decided to report the incident and has talked with the concerned university. In a statement posted online, Briguela said she decided to speak up as the remark was not a ‘simple misunderstanding’ but a case of discrimination that should be addressed.
