Filipino VR film ‘Yellowfin’ joins Cannes 2026 immersive competition

All Filipino-led virtual reality film “Yellowfin” recently made waves at the 79th Cannes Film Festival after premiering in the festival’s Immersive Competition in France. “Yellowfin,” written and directed by E del Mundo, was among only nine projects selected for the competition, making it the first Southeast Asian project and only all Filipino cast and crew to compete in the category.
