· Relief Web

Country: Haiti Source: International Organization for Migration Please refer to the attached Infographic. This information was gathered following displacement caused by armed clashes that occurred from 10 May 2026, in several neighborhoods of Cité Soleil (in the West department), including Martial, Bas Fontaine, Sarthe, Terre-Noire – Blanchard and Duviers. Approximately 5,354 people (1,281 households) were displaced as a result of these attacks. The majority of them (56%) took refuge in 12 sites, of which 10 already existed before these incidents and two were created following these events. The municipality of Delmas hosted most of these displaced persons (58%) while another significant proportion (36%) sought refuge in other neighborhoods within Cité Soleil. In March and April 2026, these same areas had already been the scene of armed clashes that forced the population to flee (see ETT #85.1 and #91 ). These new attacks reveal a growing deterioration of the security situation in these areas. DTM continues to monitor the situation and will provide updates should new developments occur.
