Marcos, US’ Jacob Helberg commit to deeper eco, trade cooperation
MANILA, Philippines — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and United States Under Secretary of State for Economic Growth, Energy, and the Environment Jacob Helberg on Tuesday affirmed cooperation in various trade partnerships, including the Luzon Economic Corridor (LEC), which is expected to generate 1 million jobs for Filipinos. Marcos and Helberg met on a courtesy call in Malacañang, where they agreed to continue the Philippines’ and the United States’ shared commitment to deeper economic and trade cooperation.
