Visayas races to secure power supply with energy projects in Cebu, Panay

CEBU CITY, Philippines — More than 1,100 megawatts (MW) of new power capacity are expected to enter the Visayas grid by 2026 as the government pushes to balance the region’s growing reliance on renewable energy with the need for a stable and reliable electricity supply.
