Humanitarian Feedback Bulletin: Accountability to Affected Populations - Renk, South Sudan I April 2026 / Issue #1

· Relief Web

Country: South Sudan Sources: Concern Worldwide, World Food Programme Please refer to the attached file. In April, Renk continued to face a highly complex humanitarian situation marked by sustained arrivals of returnees, refugees and deportees from Sudan, prolonged stays at the transit centre, limited livelihood opportunities, and the early impact of the rainy season, which further stressed shelter, health, and food security conditions. During the month, a total of 703 (389 female, 314 male) feedback cases were collected in Renk and Joda. The feedback largely highlighted insufficient and one-off food and cash assistance amid prolonged waiting periods, delays and perceived unfairness in OTA processes, inadequate shelter and NFIs related to repeated fire incidents, gaps in access to specialized health services, protection risks including family separation, insecurity, discrimination, and overcrowding at nutrition and WASH facilities. At the same time, positive feedback responses were reported for WFP cash and nutrition support, GOAL’s nutrition services, effective health referrals through partners such as RI, JRS, MSF and IOM clinics, improved information sharing, and the responsiveness of CEN and help desks in resolving individual cases. All feedback cases were successfully reviewed, referred, and closed through coordination with humanitarian partners in Renk.
