MANILA, Philippines — A remote indigenous school community in Mayantoc, Tarlac, gained direct access to medical care after years of enduring a 24-kilometer journey across steep mountain terrain just to consult a doctor, following the launch of a school-based telehealth facility that brings healthcare services closer to upland learners and their families.
