PAL expands Qatar codeshare to add European routes

MANILA, Philippines — Philippine Airlines has expanded its codeshare agreement with Qatar Airways to cover 40 additional destinations, including major European cities that the local flag carrier does not currently serve. In a statement on Monday, the Lucio Tan-led flag carrier said that starting June 1, its “PR” code would be placed on Qatar Airways flights from Manila, Cebu, Clark, and Davao to Doha and onward to over 20 major European cities, including Paris, Rome, and Frankfurt.
