Zubiri, Ejercito join Senate minority bloc

MANILA, Philippines — Senators Juan Miguel Zubiri and JV Ejercito identified themselves with the minority bloc on Monday before the Senate convened as an impeachment court. The two, during the change in leadership on May 11, opted to abstain from voting for either Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano and Sen. Vicente “Tito” Sotto III. Following their identification, Zubiri and Ejercito became the tenth and eleventh members of the Senate minority bloc. They joined Senate minority leader Sotto, and Senators Francis Pangilinan, Bam Aquino, Risa Hontiveros, Raffy and Erwin Tulfo, Lito Lapid, Panfilo Lacson and Sherwin Gatchalian. /gsg ...
