Cool Baguio feels the heat: Index nears record at 28°C on May 14

BAGUIO CITY — While much of Northern Luzon continues to experience dangerous heat index levels reaching up to 46 degrees Celsius, even the typically cool Baguio City neared its historical peak, with a 28 degrees Celsius on May 14. Weekly data from the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) released on Monday covering May 13 to 17, showed Tuguegarao City again recording the highest heat index in Northern Luzon at 46°C on May 15.
