Occidental Mindoro town forecasts heat index of 45°C

CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — The Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of San Jose, Occidental Mindoro, warned on Monday that the town’s heat index could reach 45°C, as Calapan City hits an “extreme caution” reading of 40°C. The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (CDRRMD) said the 11 a.m. heat index was recorded at the Calapan City Public Market monitoring station on Monday.
