Hydropolitics, mega-dams and the future of strategic power
For much of modern history, water was treated primarily as a developmental issue. It was associated with irrigation, sanitation, flood mitigation and public utilities. Today, however, that assumption is becoming increasingly outdated. Water is no longer merely an environmental or engineering concern. It is rapidly emerging as a strategic variable shaping economics, geopolitics, national resilience and international stability.
