Wendy Valdez's son survives major surgery: 'The healing journey continues'

“Pinoy Big Brother” alum Wendy Valdez has nothing but gratitude after her 8-year-old son Seth, who has a spine condition, recently underwent a successful major operation. Seth suffers from spina bifida which, according to Mayo Clinic, is a type of neural tube defect “that occurs when the spine and spinal cord don’t form properly.” The condition left Seth unable to walk, forcing him to rely on a wheelchair to move.
