Anti-hopping law may not shield MPs from party bond obligations, says expert

KUALA LUMPUR: Vacating a parliamentary seat before leaving a political party in an apparent attempt to sidestep anti-hopping implications may not necessarily protect lawmakers from internal political bond obligations, as the two issues are legally distinct.
