Country: Pakistan Source: World Food Programme Please refer to the attached file. The Asset Impact Monitoring from Space (AIMS) Pakistan Report highlights exceptional results in Asset Detection Analysis, with 133 assets monitored and a 100% ADI (Asset Detection Indicator) score confirming visibility and maintenance. The Landscape Impact Assessment analyzed 49 assets, achieving a 67% LCI (Landscape Contract Indicator) score, showing most assets improved or maintained vegetation conditions. Seasonal analysis revealed stronger monsoon rains but drier non-monsoon months, with vegetation health closely tied to rainfall. Eastern Pakistan faced extreme rainfall anomalies, while western regions experienced drier conditions. Featured assets include flood protection in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, water ponds in Balochistan, and irrigation canals in Punjab, each showing varying impacts on vegetation and resilience. The report recommends regenerative practices, nature-based solutions, and ecosystem-based approaches to balance physical development with environmental resilience.
