Rural cemeteries in Latvia could be at risk due to new law
At the end of April, the new Cemeteries Law came into effect, introducing uniform regulations in Latvia for the allocation, establishment, and management of cemeteries in all municipalities. In Ludza Municipality, it is believed that the law could jeopardise the preservation of many burials in rural cemeteries, Latvian Radio reported on 13th May.
