Alex Eala concludes Italian Open campaign with doubles loss

MANILA, Philippines — Alex Eala concluded her campaign in the 2026 Italian Open after bowing out of the doubles tournament with partner Hailey Baptiste on Tuesday. Eala and her American partner lost to second-seeded pair Taylor Townsend and Kateřina Siniaková, 6-2, 6-1, in the Round of 32. Eala, then partnered with Zeynep Sönmez, also lost to Townsend and Siniaková in the Madrid Open Round of 16.
