The Barnett Consequentials deliver an additional £2,500 per head to Scotland to ensure that the 25 per cent of Scots living in the 75 per cent of the hinterland land mass receive a similar level of service to that enjoyed by the 75 per cent of Scots In the Central Belt (that forms only 25 per cent of the land area of the country).
