Faith, color and fun draws 30,000 crowd to Kneeling Carabao Festival

PULILAN, Bulacan—The Kneeling Carabao Festival during Thursday’s feast of San Isidro Labrador, patron saint of farmers, drew more than 30,000 people here, signifying their longing for faith, fun and color amid the fuel crisis and the most recent political turmoil in the Senate. Josef Navarro, Pulilan tourism officer, said the tourists come from diiferent provinces in Central Luzon, adjacent towns and cities in Bulacan and even from Metro Manila, noting an increase of the crowd from last year’s despite the still high cost of fuel.
