3 Mandaue traffic enforcers sacked for 'extortion, bribery' - TEAM chief

MANDAUE CITY, Cebu — The Traffic Enforcement Agency of Mandaue (TEAM) has terminated three of its personnel this month following a series of corruption allegations involving extortion and bribery.  TEAM head Hyll Retuya confirmed that the agency moved to terminate the enforcers after viral videos and photos surfaced on social media documenting their illegal activities.  Retuya emphasized that the agency maintained a strict zero-tolerance policy toward corruption to ensure that public service in Mandaue would remain honest and transparent, noting that such behavior was never taught or condoned by the local government unit.
