Dubai Holding becomes developer Emaar's top shareholder with US$6.5bil stake

KUALA LUMPUR: Dubai Holding, owned by Dubai’s ruler, has become Emaar Properties’ top shareholder after completing the purchase of a 22.27 per cent stake from the emirate’s main sovereign wealth fund, the companies announced late on Monday.
