De Lima: Protective custody cannot be used to help Dela Rosa escape

Mamamayang Liberal party-list Rep. Leila de Lima on Thursday said the Senate must explain how Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa was able to leave despite being placed under so-called protective custody. “Protective custody is not meant to conceal or facilitate the escape of someone who is to be arrested. It is clear: there are cowards and accomplices of cowards in accountability,” said De Lima, a member of the House prosecution panel.
