BIR beats April revenue target amid delayed income tax returns
MANILA, Philppines – The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) exceeded its revenue collection goal in April by 3 percent despite the delayed inflow of annual income tax payments following the extension of the filing deadline. BIR’s Preliminary data showed gross collections reached P422.4 billion in April, nearly P13 billion higher than the target for the month.
