Suicide rates in Latvia show bleak picture

Intentional self-harm, or suicide, is the leading external cause of death according to the latest data for 2024. This means that more people die by suicide in Latvia than in car accidents. Moreover, suicide rates are high among both adolescents and adults, LTV programme "De Facto" reported on 10th May.
