K1.6m housing project targets teacher shortage at remote Morobe school

PG · · Post-Courier PNG

A remote school in Morobe Province is set to receive eight new staff houses under a K1.6 million investment aimed at improving living conditions for teachers and strengthening education services in one of the district's most isolated communities. The project will deliver fully furnished homes to Kasangare Junior High School in the Waria Local Level Government area of Wau-Waria District. Local leaders say the housing is expected to help attract and retain teachers, a long-standing challenge for schools in remote parts of the province.
