MANILA, Philippines – Sen. Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa is no longer under the protective custody of the Senate after he “voluntarily” left the Senate early Thursday morning, Senate President Alan Cayetano confirmed. Asked by the media if Dela Rosa’s exit from Senate premises removed the protective custody of the chamber, Cayetano answered in the affirmative. “Yes. Voluntary siyang umalis (he left voluntarily),” he said. “What we’re protecting actually is the sanctity of the Senate, hindi siya (not him),” he added.
