Cambodia triggers UNCLOS process in maritime dispute

Prime Minister Hun Manet announced yesterday that the Cambodian government has formally submitted a notification to Thailand and the Secretary-General of the United Nations to initiate compulsory conciliation proceedings under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) regarding overlapping maritime claims between the two countries.
