Bacolod becomes the pilot city for the Philippines’ upgraded 911 system
Bacolod City is now the first city using the country’s upgraded Unified 911 platform after formally partnering with PLDT Enterprise for the rollout. The deployment introduces a centralized emergency response system powered by the Genesys cloud platform. The setup includes unified call handling, dispatch coordination, GPS tracking, video streaming, and integrated incident reporting. PLDT Enterprise also deployed FiberBiz and iGate Premium connectivity across 30 government sites supporting emergency operations. The rollout covers many local emergency systems still operate separately across agencies.
