SITUATION OVERVIEW According to the Syrian Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management, the eastern province of Deir ezZor and the northern province of Raqqa is experiencing escalating humanitarian impacts due to continued Euphrates River rise, linked to increased inflows and tributary flows. The Ministry reports the river exceeded 3.60 meters above normal, with further rise expected, causing flooding in low-lying riverbank areas, damage to crossings and agricultural crops, and disruption of basic services including water supply. Public reporting during the same period also described rising river levels in Raqqa and Deir ez-Zor. Residents along the riverbanks are being urged to relocate to safer areas.
