MANILA, Philippines — Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano on Thursday denied that the gun violence at the Senate Wednesday night was a diversionary tactic. Israelito Torreon, legal counsel of Sen. Ronald “Bato” dela Rosa, had earlier dismissed claims circulating online that the supposed chaos in the chamber was a “diversionary tactic” meant to allow the lawmaker to evade the serving of an International Criminal Court (ICC) warrant.
