Study shows Latvians are 'liberal', 'conservative' and often both at once
When it comes to social values in Latvia, about half of voters lean 'liberal', and half 'conservative'. The picture is different when it comes to economic issues – the majority are left-wing and want a large welfare state that takes care of its citizens, according to a recently published study "Political Spectrums in Latvia" (attached below in its full English-language version).
