‘Kisapmata,’ ‘Side Show’ lead 2026 Gawad Buhay nominees with 14 nods each

The moving stories of “Kisapmata” and “Side Show” received the most nominations at the 2026 iteration of the Gawad Buhay awards, with both theatrical productions each earning 14 nods.   Meanwhile, trailing behind are “Shrek the Musical” and “We Aren’t Kids Anymore” with 12 and nine nominations, respectively. The nominees were selected by a 13-person independent jury from 18 eligible theatrical productions that opened between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2025.  The Gawad Buhay awards will be held on July 28 at Aliw Theater in Pasay City.
