Laser beam projection on aircraft prohibited, punishable by law - Caap

MANILA, Philippines — The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (Caap) on Sunday reminded the public that projecting laser beams and other high-intensity lights toward aircraft is strictly prohibited and punishable by law. According to Caap, laser illumination either impairs aircraft pilots’ vision or causes distraction in critical phases of flight.
