CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — Residents of this city were urged to take extra precautions against extreme heat after the city recorded a heat index of 44°C at 11 a.m. on Sunday, May 31, placing it under the “danger” category. According to the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC), the heat index reading was recorded at the Calapan City Public Market monitoring station.
