Hire-purchase revamp starts tomorrow, ensures fairer loan settlements

KUALA LUMPUR: Sweeping changes to how interest is calculated on hire-purchase loans will come into force tomorrow following the enforcement of the Hire Purchase (Amendment) Act 2026, said Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali.
