Village chief arrested in anti-drug ops; P782,000 worth of shabu seized

ILOILO CITY — A village chief listed as a high-value individual (HVI) was arrested, and an estimated P782,000 worth of suspected shabu was confiscated during a buy-bust operation in Barangay Maragubdub in San Remegio, Antique on Friday afternoon, May 29. Authorities identified the suspect only by his alias, “Alvin,” 38, the Punong Barangay of the said village. Police investigation revealed that “Alvin” was a previous drug surrenderee and had been under close surveillance for nearly a month leading up to his arrest.
